A wonderful spot for a cocktail or glass of wine in SMA. excellent margaritas and tapas. Phenomenal views. A must if you're a guest at the Rosewood. Can't always get in if you're not.

The short: hands down the best view of the city we've seen & we enjoyed our cocktails and appetizers. You pay a premium for the view, and it's worth it. The longer: we stopped here on a Monday for lunch (they open at 2pm), and we had our pick of tables/couches, enjoyed 2 cocktails, the guacamole with mango/crab and a Caesar salad. The food was good - nothing overly memorable, and their wine list was slim, but we genuinely enjoyed the cocktails and the view. The staff were kind and attentive, and they didn't rush us at all. Highly recommend for weekday drinks and nibbles!

Post Spa we came up here for drinks and the view and it was well worth it. The view of San Miguel de Allende was 360° and simply put, astonishing. It was a beautiful evening with clouds which made for a spectacular sunset view. It's quite a large space and anywhere you sit you will have a view. I don't understand the negative reviews on cost here. The same view of San Francisco or NYC would cost three times as much. My opinion is if you are in town come up here one night for a drink and view. It's not going to burst the bank people. Mexico as a whole is cheap but this place is pricier however as I said it's not going to break the bank. The food was good the staff were accommodating but slow ( everywhere we went, staff were slow). It's all good. Take it in because it's breathtaking. Don't miss.

Sure it's a little touristy, but the view, service, and food is amazing. I always love coming here. Make sure to a frozen margarita and guacamole chips and dip. They are huge!!

We tried walking up on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon about an hour before sundown to see the famed sunset views, but were told that there was a wait. We were welcomed by the hostesses to hangout in the hotel courtyard or head to the downstairs bar, but we elected to find a bench by the fountain to wait it out while we nervously checked our watches to make sure we didn't royally screw up our chance to catch the sunset. While we waited, we noticed there were at least 5 other groups waiting along with us so make sure you build in enough time to plan for the evening crowd. About 30 minutes later, we were approached by a hostess and directed upstairs to a rather spacious rooftop bar area. Considering the wait time, we assumed the patio would be packed, but we found plenty of seating and elected to just order drinks at the bar. The city views are just as good as advertised, the cocktails were unique, and the staff was very accommodating.

All the carnivores and vegetarians in our group were satisfied well. Me - the vegan, well that's another story. My hopes were up when the chef came to our table before we ordered - I told him I was vegan and he said he would fix me a special vegan dish. It was vegan but I wouldn't call a lettuce burrito wrap 'special' Simply plain lettuce rolled up in a flour tortilla. I expected much more - then I got my tomato salad with the biggest dollop of cheese I've ever seen. Any way, guacamole was good as were the truffle fries. Everyone cleaned their plates and even had room for the fancy churros ( tho we asked for plain) that came with ice cream and chocolate dip.

You pay for the view. Amazing views of the city, great music and beautiful decor. The signature cocktails were very well made. This is where we should have stopped. We ordered their food. French fries with aioli and truffle oil with Parmesan. No aioli just mayo. No truffle oil just cheese. We asked for salt but never got it. The alambre tacos were pretty good but lacked a little flavor. The ceviche was dry and also lacked flavor. The service was great when we walked in and then they ignore you to attend to new customers. This place is great for drinks and amazing views. For food, venture somewhere else. Too many choices in SMA.

What a beautiful view from the rooftop! You can see that San Miguel de Allende is surrounded my mountains. We ordered several drinks during sunset and stayed until dark, we heard some random fireworks went off nearby! Food and drinks were good although the service can be better, I didn't like my first drink and they didn't let me change it...

Really a great view, and the service was very good. The only reason I did not give them a 5th star was due t the fact that their prices, for what amounted to bar food, were so much higher than what we had seen elsewhere. I understand a premium for a view, but it seems to surpass that. Nevertheless, if you want a nice terrace, view, and a couple of drinks, this is not a bad choice.

Voted too 5 Rooftop Bar in Town! This place only takes reservation for hotel guests. Everyone else is first come, first serve. They told us to expect an hour wait but we were seated within 20 min. The hotel is stunning. The view at the top is SPECTACULAR, especially around sunset. There was a brief moment where I left my purse downstairs (I forgot about it while in the midst of taking photos) and I was able to get it back from the security. (I know, lucky me!) Super safe spot. Every dish and drink we got was equally AMAZING. Highly recommend!

EN: I recently returned to this beautiful rooftop restaurant in San Miguel de Allende and they have certainly improved their menu and their service. We ordered the mango smoothies, a variety of tacos, the fig pizza, the churros, tequila cake and the chocolate cake with ice cream. Everything was amazing but nothing beats the incredible view that you get of the town. I would come here just for that if I could. Good lounge music, too. An instagramers paradise.

The best part about this place is the view on the rooftop. We might've ordered the wrong things but nothing tasted all that great unfortunately. We had the recommended tequila cocktail by the waiter. Not sure what it was but it was foamy at the top, similar to marshmallow and earthy tasting. We didn't love it. Then we ordered the fig pizza with balsamic dressing. The fig was super sweet and overpowered the pizza. The service was great and overall ambience was nice with a live band when we were there but the food and drinks were very meh.

The review is essentially for the view. So gorgeous. Drinks are tasty, on the pricey side for the area but it's a small price to pay for the view. Would definitely say you should make the walk down at least once during your stay in SMA

Good (LARGE) tapas & THE BEST VIEW in town! American prices & short pours, but you'll forgive all while staring at the Parroquia & twinkling city lights. Oh, also the best guacamole in SMDA!

A must visit when you are in SMDA! We came here after we were told that the wait at QUINCE would be at least an hour! Luna bar is located in the Rosewood hotel, which is at the outskirts of the town, but is worth the walk from Jardin Principal. First of all, the hotel itself is stunning! Stroll around the ground before you head up to the rooftop. Once there, you will immediately get the panoramic view of SMDA. We didn't have a reservation but the host was kind enough to find us a table to the side of the lounge, which still gets a decent view. They offered so many delicious cocktails. 2 notable items on the menu were the red and green cocktails made from Casa Dragones tequila. We tried both and they were so tasty!! The price at this bar was even cheaper than a similar drink we got at Doce 18. My first drink wasn't very good and I was able to send it back and got a new one without being charged for the first one. Only issue here is that smoking is allowed on the rooftop. It is suggested to come here for sunset...the view is probably more stunning than the night view.

This really is a stunning vantage point, with a 270 degree view, looking right over the historic section of town. In a very classy hotel, The Rosewood, service is very attentive. The drinks are excellent and so is the food. It was such a pleasure to get a well made Old Fashioned in Mexico. We had an assortment of tapas and pizza. Prices surprisingly reasonable. Sunsets are busy here so come early- lots of gringo action.

Yeup, the view rocks!! We just stopped by for the view and had a couple of drinks and apps, all outstanding. Tuna ceviche, humus and churros for dessert. Make sure to make this a stop when in SMA.

Great place for afternoon snack and cocktails. It's most popular for sunset -- the views are amazing -- but we went mid-afternoon to beat the crowds and enjoyed the quiet. Highly recommend the regional cheese board (which comes with fruits and bread), though I doubt there's anything bad on the menu.

Location. Location. Location. The view is breathtaking and the drinks were good. That combination alone is worth checking this place out!

Go for the view, a drink maybe a snack then move on. The view of the city does not get much better, the staff is not very attentive, service slow and if you are not staying at the hotel -you will be treated differently - believe me on this one.
